  • No SPARC v3.11.1 mini release. Stories have been moved to v3.12.0

  • SPARC v3.12.0 planned deployment date is 12/14/2023. Finishing up stories list.

Oregon Health & Science University:

9/13/2023

  • Figured out IRB logic for expiration dates (e.g., studies that don’t follow the traditional exp date timing and fields)

  • Have updated their report parameters to include dates of active projects for the included start/end date parameters

10/11/2023

  • Using v3.10.1

  • Plan to upgrade RMID / SPARC soon. First need to add status field before upgrade.

Iowa

10/11/2023

  • not in attendance

Case Western

9/13/2023

  • Update configuration for new server in preparation for testing SPARC v3.11.0 upgrade.

  • In process of verifying incomplete service request statuses with service providers. About 90-95% of services are entered by service providers, so this is a QA check. The unsubmitted requests reminders won’t alleviate the current QA check process in this case because the service requests are already submitted.

10/11/2023

  • Upgrade SPARC and Redhat Linux 7 to 9 (EOL for v7 is next June '24)

Children’s National

10/11/2023

  • not in attendance

Stony Brook:

10/11/2023

  • not in attendance

Morehouse:

9/13/2023

  • They have seen the double sign in request issue again. But it’s only happening for the users who were entered as they were testing SPARC use. New users don’t have the issue. They may have a resolution and will reach out to MUSC if guidance is needed.

10/11/2023

  • Questions for Morehouse -

    • Does your institution use a centralized, Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS), such as Oncore, Velos, etc?

      • Currently using Engaged. But it doesn’t talk to SPARC. New research director would like to change to something new.

    • What electronic medical record (EMR) system does your institution use, such as Epic?

      • i2d2 and Epic
