Research Master ID New Features and Bug Fixes (v1.7.0)

1. Add 'Exempt Complete' state to Flag for eIRB Close-out Studies

The eIRB state ‘Exempt Complete’ has been added to the list of study closure states and will be indicated as such in red text visual cue 'Study has been closed out in eIRB' on RMID homepage.

2. Add New eIRB Columns to RMID Database

To prepare for a robust eIRB dataset, the following eIRB fields have been added as imported data into the RMID database: review_type; irb_review_request; irb_committee_name; external_irb_of_record; other_external_irb_text; clinical_study_phase; status_description.

3. [pending] Add Search Option to Deleted RMIDs section

The ability to search for deleted RMIDs has been added to the RMID website Removed RMIDs section.

4. [pending] RMID Administrators Dashboard

A new 'RMID Administrators' space has been added to better enable RMID administrators with assisting users and viewing study information. With this change, administrators can access more detailed information about RMID users and studies, such as when RMIDs were associated with its SPARC and eIRB studies and the current eIRB state.

A RMID Administrator Guide is available to describe these features, as well as outlining the current access to edit & delete RMIDs, contact PIs/RMID creators and assist users with RMID questions. Future enhancements to the Administrators dashboard are planned.

5. Add Email Notification names

The RMID PI and Creator’s name has been added to the Notification message modal available to RMID Administrators when sending a message to the PI & Creator.

6. eIRB state no longer showing as validated

With this release, a bug has been fixed that prevented recognizing studies in the eIRB state ‘Expired - Continuation In Progress' as an eIRB verified state. This was due to an update to the eIRB state name’s text casing. The eIRB state title will now consider capital and lowercase lettering in the state name to account for future state name case changes.

7. Study Titles: Silent Error, Case Sensitivity & Validation

In this release, a bug was fixed that produced a silent error when trying to create an RMID with similar long study titles that had different (upper/lower) cases. Titles are now case sensitive so that upper/lower case text are not considered the same title. In addition, along with long titles validation, short titles are now must also be unique to a PI.

8. [pending] (RMID-eIRB API) eIRB Type No Longer Set

A bug has been fixed that prevented correctly identifying eIRB study imports into the RMID database as a unique eIRB study.

9. (RMID Testing) Add Testing Banner Top of the Webpage

In this release, a pink ‘Testing’ banner has been added to the top of the webpage to differentiate between RMID production and RMID testing environments.

10. (RMID Data) RMID database dictionary

A technical document translation of the RMID database dictionary has been created for the internal RMID team’s reference.

11. (RMID API) Update Webhook URL

To satisfy a MSTeams requirement to continue notification posting, the RMID MSTeams channel webhook URL connection has been updated.
