 We would like to inform you all about the Intellectual Property Rights and Commercialization Resources services offered by the South Carolina Clinical and Translational Research Institute (SCTR). You will have the ability to request consults on issues relating to protecting your ideas/discoveries including: documenting your invention with the Foundation of Research Development, review by an IP review team, and patenting options. Commercial/entrepreneurial services include: commercial marketing analysis, options/licenses, partnering with industry, etc.

Pre-application Submission (REQUIRED): by 5PM EST on Friday, March 20, 2020*
Full Application (by Invitation): by 5PM EST on Friday, May 22, 2020**
Earliest Anticipated Project Start Date: August 1, 2020

  • Pre-applicants will be notified with the decisions whether to submit a Full application or not.

  • *Required Telehealth Research Services Consult for Full Applications Submission should be done by 5PM EST on Friday, May 8, 2020 (preferably earlier).
