-Been troubleshoot error messages with MUSC dev team;

-Ruby 2.7.5 upgrade helps with the database error, it will be included in SR v3.9.1 version tag (coming out soon);

-Database version MySQL 8 index error, schema file cleanup (use schema load for completely new SPARC instance); This error shouldn’t happen with non-empty database and version upgrades (via migration);

-Add a dev user to SPARCCatalog as catalog manager and super user ;

-Need to ask IT for Email server setup;

Could we add a pre-release tag task (task in the human do it sense) to run rake db:migrate ? That should regenerrate your schema.rb

Yeah, that's a thought I've had. We can take our production copy of the schema file and apply it downstream

These are settings that I change when I copy a production database to another system. Implying that these are settings you might also change as you are configuring the system for your environment https://github.com/ui-icts/sparc-request/blob/master/lib/tasks/mysql.rake#L9
