SPARCRequest Implementation Readiness Checklist
Please use this checklist to form a comprehensive review of the readiness of your institution for SPARCRequest adoption.
Project Management
Project Initiation
A project charter exists.
A set of project management plans exist.
A project schedule has been created with benchmarks and milestones.
Participation in SPARCRequest Open Source Governance and Committees.
Finance and Budget Capacity
Cost Analysis
SPARCRequest costs and benefits have been evaluated in a cost/benefit analysis.
Return‐on‐investment analysis have been estimated and accounted for.
Funds and sources for ongoing adoption of required standards and upgrades will be part of the general budget.
Operational Capacity
A formal training plan is part of the planning process.
Additional training for users (and IT staff) involved in SPARCRequest adoption has been identified to ensure administrative users possess appropriate skill sets.
Training support plan is in place.
Current and proposed SPARCRequest‐related administrative and clinical processes are documented in a process map and included in product evaluation process; planning process is in place for workflow redesign.
Policies, procedures and protocols necessary for SPARCRequest implementation have been analyzed developed, and ready to be introduced to the team.
SPARCRequest implementation, workflow design and skill‐set gaps will be collaboratively developed for users
