Research Master ID New Features and Bug Fixes (v1.6.0)

1. (RMID) Update Search Field Instructions in PI Field to display 'search by' field title

When creating an RMID, the PI Name search bar text reads 'Search by' PI Name, Email or NetID, depending on which radio button is selected to search.

2. (RMID) MUSC users can't log into RMID

Over the past few months users reports were coming in stating that MUSC employers were unable to login into RMID. In this release, we have implemented a permanent fix to user authentication that has fixed this bug, allowing users to log into RMID.

3. (RMID) Remove the Research Type question

In this release, we have removed ‘Research Type’ question when creating or editing RMIDs. Additionally, we removed the ‘Research Type’ column from the RMID homepage.

5. (RMID) Add New Status Endpoint

After user feedback regarding how slow SPARC was running, it was determined that the way SPARC was validating RMID on the SPARC end had caused the system to slow down significantly. To correct this, it was determined that a new status endpoint would be created. The new status endpoint would be used by SPARC to determine whether RMID server is up and running and will only be validated when on SPARC submission Step 2.

6. (RMID) Add to list of eIRB validated states

In this release, we have added the following new eIRB states to the list of verified eIRB states for RMID validation:

  • 'Exempt Complete' - exempt studies transition to this state 5 years after initial IRB review

  • 'Overdue Study Status' - Ext IRB Review studies transition to this state when the current IRB acknowledgment has lapsed.

For studies with eIRB states 'Exempt Complete' and 'Overdue Study Status', RMID validation green visual cues appear within RMID and SPARC.
